Netflix Premieres: Inspector Jinde & Son of Sardaar 2
First up, Netflix has an exciting announcement regarding a new movie titled Inspector Jinde. Starring Manoj Bajpayee and Jim Sarbh in lead roles, this film features Manoj Bajpayee as a formidable inspector, while Jim Sarbh plays the role of a swimsuit killer. The movie promises a thrilling chase, suspense, and mystery, all set to release directly-to-digital on Netflix starting September 5th.
Additionally, the much-anticipated movie Son of Sardaar 2, featuring Ajay Devgn, is also set for its official OTT release on Netflix. While a theater print was previously leaked, fans eagerly await an HD version. The official OTT release date for Son of Sardaar 2 on Netflix is September 26th. It is anticipated that a high-quality version might leak even before the official release.
Amazon Prime Originals: Coolie & Daring Partners
The movie Coolie, which premiered in cinemas on August 15th, is now nearing the end of its theatrical run, and its OTT release is highly anticipated. Coolie is slated to be released on Amazon Prime. The release is planned in two phases: initially, the South Indian language versions will be available, followed by the Hindi-dubbed version.
The South Indian languages version is expected to release around September 14th or 15th on video-on-demand. The Hindi-dubbed version could follow, potentially releasing from September 25th. However, given the movie’s declining box office performance, there’s a possibility it might be released in all languages simultaneously. Expect the release of Coolie on Amazon Prime no earlier than September 15th.
Amazon Prime is also set to launch a new series titled Daring Partners. This series stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Diana Penty, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Nakuul Mehta. It tells the story of two best friends who venture into the challenging world of the alcohol industry, starting their own startup, and the subsequent events in their lives. Daring Partners will be released on Amazon Prime with Hindi-dubbed language options.
Major Movie Leaks: Udaipur Files & Andaaz 2
The movie Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder, which is based on a real-life tailor’s murder case and stars Vijay Raaz as the tailor, faced several petitions and delays after its trailer release but was ultimately not stopped from its theatrical run. Currently, the movie has been leaked on various platforms with a good quality print.
Similarly, Andaaz 2, a romantic drama film that released in cinemas on August 8th, has also been leaked. This movie, a sequel to the 2003 film Andaaz, features debutants Ayush Kumar, Akashaa, and Natasha Fernandes. Despite receiving a 6.8 rating during its cinema release and having no finalized OTT platform at the time, Andaaz 2 is now available on various unofficial platforms with a good print.
Fantastic Four: VOD & Disney+ Hotstar Release Dates
For those eagerly awaiting the OTT release of the Fantastic Four movie (a 2025 superhero drama), we have an update. After a positive response in cinemas, the video-on-demand (VOD) release date for Fantastic Four has been finalized. It will be available on a rental basis starting September 27th. This VOD release is expected to include both Hindi and English language options, similar to its theatrical release in India.
Following the VOD release, Fantastic Four will then arrive on Disney+ Hotstar for all subscribers. This is expected to happen in the first week of November, approximately 40 days after its VOD launch, and will also include the Hindi-dubbed version.
