Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated movie *Spirit* has been making headlines for quite some time. Just like Vanga’s previous projects, this cop drama has already created a massive buzz among fans. While details about *Spirit* were kept under wraps, a recent leak has revealed its intriguing storyline.
## *Spirit’s* Plot Leak – What’s the Movie About?
A fan page recently shared a post, reportedly revealing the entire story of *Spirit*. According to the leaked information, Prabhas will be playing the role of an honest police officer who is highly dedicated to his job. Coming from a middle-class background, he is ruthless when it comes to criminals but shows a gentle and loving side when he is with his family.
The character has a wife and a 4-year-old child, and he shares a very strong bond with them. His world revolves around his family, but the story takes a drastic turn when a particular case changes his life forever.
Some fans have drawn comparisons between *Spirit* and Thalapathy Vijay’s *Theri*, suggesting that the story might be inspired by it. However, the chances of that happening seem slim, as director Atlee has already made *Baby John* with Varun Dhawan, which was inspired by *Theri*. It doesn’t make sense to have a similar storyline again.
## Another Possible Storyline?
A little while ago, another leak from a Letterboxd screenshot suggested a different storyline. According to it, Prabhas plays a police officer who is dishonorably discharged from his duty. Post-dismissal, he teams up with his contacts and a team to expose an international crime syndicate. His ultimate mission is to reclaim his job, reputation, and dignity by successfully bringing down this powerful organization.
With multiple reports surfacing, it’s unclear which version of the story will be the actual plot of the movie. Fans will have to wait for official confirmations to know exactly what *Spirit* has in store.
## South Korean Star in *Spirit*?
There have also been reports suggesting that South Korean action star Ma Dong-seok (known for movies like *Train to Busan, The Roundup,* and *The Outlaws*) will be playing the antagonist. If this turns out to be true, *Spirit* could have an international appeal, making Prabhas’s movie even more exciting.
## Production and Release Updates
Sandeep Reddy Vanga has always been secretive about *Spirit* and has refrained from revealing too many details. This has only added to the curiosity surrounding the project. Initially, the filming for *Spirit* was scheduled to begin in January 2025. However, after Prabhas suffered an injury on the sets of *Kalki 2898 AD*, the production has been postponed.
As per the latest plans, the movie is expected to be completed in 2025 and released in 2026.
