# Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 4 Officially Announced by Rakesh Roshan – Fans are Super Excited!

## Rakesh Roshan Will Not Direct Krrish 4
Unlike the previous installments of the franchise, **Rakesh Roshan will not be directing Krrish 4**. He had earlier announced his retirement from direction, which means that someone else will take over the reins of this big-budget superhero film.
Talking about **passing the baton**, he shared in an **interview with Bollywood Hungama**:
> “The day had to come when I would have to hand over the responsibility to someone else. When I am in a position to supervise and guide, it’s better to do it now.”
He also added that there is no guarantee that Krrish 4 would be a **blockbuster** even if he directed it himself. He is confident that the film will be in safe hands, and **Karan Malhotra** is speculated to direct the film.

The last film in the franchise, **Krrish 3**, was released in 2013 and was a massive box office success. Now, after a whopping 12-year gap, the team is finally getting ready for Krrish 4.
