AR Murugadoss, who has previously collaborated with numerous A-list actors from the South Indian film industry, has had audiences eagerly awaiting this film since the beginning. In a recent conversation, the director shared insights into how the project got underway. He explained how a meeting with Salman Khan during the post-COVID era led to a pivotal moment where he expressed his desire to work with the iconic star.
The turning point came when Sajid Nadiadwala, a prominent producer, reached out with a call, propelling Murugadoss to pen down the story for “Sikandar.” After crafting the narrative, he narrated the script to Salman Khan at the actor’s residence, Galaxy Apartments. Following the narration, Salman took a brief 30-minute break, stepping out of the room, leaving Murugadoss in suspense.
Upon returning, Salman, having taken a smoke break, inquired about the director’s familiarity with his working style. Murugadoss candidly admitted his lack of knowledge, to which Salman explained his routine of working from 2 PM to 2 AM. The director perceived this as an affirmation of Salman’s interest in the script, as the actor signalled his approval for the project. With this tacit understanding, work on the film commenced, culminating in the production of what is sure to be an exhilarating cinematic experience that soon hits the cinemas.
