Salman Khan’s much-anticipated film Sikandar is all set for release. The shooting for the movie had been going on until recently, and the makers had already announced that it would hit theaters on Eid 2024. However, fans were concerned about when the trailer would be launched. Now, Salman Khan himself has answered this question, confirming that the trailer of Sikandar will release on March 23.
Sikandar Trailer Details
As per media reports, the trailer runtime will be 3 minutes and 38 seconds. The makers have kept the story under wraps, but it is said that the trailer will give a major hint about the film’s plot. In a recent interview, the film’s director, A. R. Murugadoss, was asked about what audiences can expect from the trailer. He stated:
“With the trailer, we want to satisfy the first-day, first-show audience. Additionally, we want to highlight that the movie is an emotional film that will appeal to every segment of the audience.”
Why is Sikandar’s Promotion Limited?
Despite Salman Khan’s massive fan base, fans are unhappy with the limited promotion of Sikandar. Unlike other big-budget films with aggressive promotional strategies, Sikandar has only released a teaser and a few songs so far. Now, just a few days before the official release, the trailer is being launched.
The reason behind this limited promotion has reportedly been revealed. According to a report by Pinkvilla, security concerns involving Salman Khan have led to a controlled promotional strategy. Salman Khan is not able to attend public events, which has impacted large-scale promotions.
Initially, the makers planned a grand trailer launch event with around 300 people in attendance, but due to security threats, the event was canceled. However, Salman Khan is expected to actively promote the film digitally via online platforms.
Sikandar Movie Runtime & Expected Plot
The official release date for Sikandar is March 30, 2024 (Sunday). As per reports, the film’s total runtime will be 2 hours and 20 minutes.
- First Half: 1 hour 15 minutes
- Second Half: 1 hour 5 minutes
Director A. R. Murugadoss has already hinted that Sikandar is an emotional film. Meanwhile, several fan theories online suggest that Rashmika Mandanna plays Salman Khan’s wife in the movie. One of the most viral internet speculations states that her character might die before the interval, setting up the film’s revenge-driven second half. However, all of these details are unverified, and we will have more clarity once the trailer is out on March 23.
