In an impressive feat of cinematic dedication, Salman Khan’s film “Sikandar” completed its shooting a mere two weeks ahead of its scheduled release on March 30th. Media reports reveal that the final scenes were shot late into the night on March 14th. This tight schedule has posed promotional challenges for the filmmakers, leaving limited time for marketing the film. Consequently, Salman Khan has engaged actively with the media in the run-up to the release.
Recently, in an interview with N.E., Salman addressed a question about the increasing trend of using controversies to promote films. He expressed a clear stance against such tactics, humorously noting that he has had his fair share of controversies in the past. “We don’t need any more controversies. Films don’t become hits because of controversies,” Salman affirmed. He further emphasized his preference for a controversy-free release, looking forward to celebrating Eid with his fans.
The actor recalled an incident with his previous production, where a film originally titled “Navratri” was renamed “LoveYatri” to avoid controversy. He mentioned, “We changed it because controversy was unnecessary. I’d rather live without it.”
Salman Khan also shared insights on how “Sikandar” came into his life. The script, penned by Murugadoss, first captured the attention of producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who then recommended it to Salman. Salman vividly recounted his first encounter with the script, recalling how enthralled he was and immediately inquired about starting the project.
Murugadoss, in a prior interview, narrated his experience of presenting the script during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sajid Nadiadwala sought a strong story, and upon hearing “Sikandar,” he believed Salman was perfect for the role. The actor’s initial reaction to the script was overwhelmingly positive, hinting at a promising collaboration.
