Veera Dheera Suran Review: A Decent Film with Mixed Expectations

**Veera Dheera Sooran: A Review of Chiyaan Vikram’s Exciting Performance**

I recently traveled 50 kilometers under the scorching sun as a delivery driver just to watch the much-anticipated movie “Veera Dheera Sooran,” starring my favorite actor, Chiyaan Vikram. The excitement was akin to receiving a generous tip in my delivery job. Having previously stated during the trailer reaction that I was most excited for this film, primarily to witness Chiyaan Vikram’s performance, my anticipation levels were through the roof.

Chiyaan Vikram is an actor whose performances I eagerly look forward to, always hoping for a triumphant comeback that would leave audiences amazed. While Vikram’s last film, “Thangalaan,” was not well-received despite his dedication and hard work, I was optimistic about “Veera Dheera Sooran.”

It’s worth mentioning that “Veera Dheera Sooran” is unique as its second part was released before the first. The teaser and trailer had left me thrilled, feeling that this film was going to deliver mass entertainment on steroids. My expectations were also high due to the film’s director, Arun Kumar, known for creating strong films like “Sethupathi” and “Chitta.”

In a nutshell, “Veera Dheera Sooran” is a decent film that blends realistic cinema with mass entertainment. It presents a tension-filled narrative with a twisted screenplay keeping the audience engaged throughout. The film’s story might remind audiences of Dhanush’s film, “Asuran,” where family matters the most in the end.

A crucial drawback of the film, in my opinion, is its length. While it doesn’t bore you at any point, you might wonder if it needed to be that long. The film includes a remarkable 15-minute one-take shot with superb coordination, a testament to the technical finesse seen in movies like the Chiyaan Vikram-starrer “Mahaan,” or Fahadh Faasil’s “Malik.”

Certain scenes in “Veera Dheera Sooran” are filled with intense tension and showcase the exceptional skills of Chiyaan Vikram. However, despite these moments, the film doesn’t fully deliver the impact I hoped for. A comeback for Chiyaan Vikram akin to Rajinikanth’s in “Jailer” or Kamal Haasan’s in “Vikram” is something I earnestly wish to see.

Chiyaan Vikram is an unmatched talent in the Tamil film industry, known for his dedication, even risking it all for his roles. Unfortunately, various setbacks often occur with his films. Despite circumstances, my admiration for him remains steadfast, as I hope for directors to truly capitalize on his unparalleled acting skills and present him in roles that showcase his talents to the fullest.

“Veera Dheera Sooran” is technically a well-made film. With its two to three shocking action sequences, thrilling background score by G. V. Prakash Kumar, the movie manages to capture attention but slightly falters in maximizing its potential. It remains a one-time watchable film that doesn’t disappoint but could have achieved more with the resources available. Overall, I rate it three out of five stars.

After braving the sun to watch this movie, as a fan, I still look forward to seeing Chiyaan Vikram in roles that truly allow him to shine. If you have already watched “Veera Dheera Sooran,” please feel free to share your thoughts and subscribe for more updates.
