Salman Khan is all set for the release of his upcoming movie “Sikandar,” slated for Eid on March 30th. As part of the promotional campaign, Salman recently shared a photo on social media that has captured significant attention. The star was spotted wearing a striking watch that has become a topic of extensive discussion online.
### The Watch in Question
On March 27, Salman posted a photo with the caption, “Will meet you at theaters this Eid.” The image prominently displayed an orange watch on his wrist, which upon investigation, was identified as a luxury timepiece from the brand Jacob & Co. The watch comes in two variants. The first, named “Epic X Ram Janmabhoomi Titanium Edition 2,” features a grey dial and costs ₹34 lakhs. Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan was seen wearing this model during the launch of the Indian Street Premier League’s second season.
However, Salman Khan opted for the second variant, known as the “Epic X Ram Janmabhoomi Rose Gold Special Edition.” This version has a golden dial and is a limited edition piece, produced in only a few numbers. Its dial is adorned with images of Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, and the Ram Temple of Ayodhya, along with the inscription “Jai Shree Ram.” This exclusive piece is priced at ₹1 lakh.
### A Special Gift
Hindustan Times spoke with Salman about this exquisite watch, which he revealed was a gift from his mother. Additionally, Jacob & Co recently announced a special edition of their watches in collaboration with Salman Khan, named “Jacob & Co x Salman Khan Timepiece.” This model features a map of the world designed in orange, blue, and green on the dial, with “SK” inscribed at the 6 o’clock position, and Salman’s name engraved on the back.
### Social Media Buzz
The photo of Salman wearing the Ram Janmabhoomi watch has gone viral on social media, sparking varied reactions. Some have suggested that this is a strategic move by Salman and his team to promote his film subtly. Others humorously remarked that with such a watch, the film should have been released on Diwali instead of Eid. The Ram Janmabhoomi edition watches were launched in 2024, commemorating the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, with only 49 pieces available globally. Among those who own it, besides Salman, is Abhishek Bachchan.
