So guys, the Kangana Ranaut-starrer movie Emergency is here. Despite numerous delays due to various reasons, the movie Emergency finally made its theatrical debut today. I have seen it, and how was my experience? Let’s talk. Let’s do it. First of all, let me tell you that the movie narrates a political history of our country, India, about which today’s young generation knows very little. It was a very big step in the political history of India. Now why did Indira Gandhi declare the emergency at that time, and what were its advantages and disadvantages, and why is the emergency imposed at that time called a black page in the book of Indian history? And how is its impact on our country even today? Was it necessary to impose an emergency, or was it a well-thought-out conspiracy out of greed for power? If you’re interested in political dramas and want to learn more, you should watch this movie in a theater.
You can, But especially speaking about Indira Gandhi’s role, I will say it today: out of all the actresses who have played the role of Indira Ji, Kangana’s character role seems absolutely perfect. Moreover, she is also the director of this movie, and it always happens that when you direct your own movie and take charge, you want to make your role as perfect as possible.
For instance, Sonu Sood directed the Fateh movie, and I don’t need to elaborate on the great work he did there. Similarly, Kangana performed the same role in this movie. I have also done it. Now, it’s important to note that I was personally unaware of the events and circumstances that transpired in 1970. I mean, I did not go and see it with the time machine.
Whatever I know, it is just to watch it as a movie, which has so many mind-blowing things. Actors are Kangana Ranaut, Shreyas Tadpe, Anupam Kher ji, and the late Mr. Satish Kaushik ji, but after Kangana Ranaut, if anyone has caught my attention, then it is the actor who played the character of Sanjay Gandhi; his name is, I think, Vishal Nair; he has played the role of Sanjay Gandhi over anthro. Vishal Nair has portrayed the antisocial side exceptionally well. Milin Soman’s portrayal of Sham Bahadur appeared to be the most fitting character. I saw him after a long time, and what a portrayal. Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur character is in its own place, and Milin Soman’s Chumma Bhai Sahab was amazing.
And on top of that, the BGM of this film was also amazing in every aspect of it. There is an elevator for the scene. Yes, even if there were no songs, it would have worked. It is beneficial that the storyline moves forward along with the songs. But I don’t think that it is easy to talk about an issue like emergency in just one film because this is a very big chapter in our political history. If an OTT platform had produced a series on this topic, people would have gained a comprehensive understanding of the issue.
That’s why I might have considered the movie a bit dated. But overall it is a good political entertainer. Don’t assume that. This is not Pushpa; it’s a biographical drama film that requires some political knowledge. Although you may be familiar with the political leaders, this film also showcases an emotional and even aggressive side to them. And yes, the movie is from the 1970s, so the background, clothes, lifestyle, etc. will give you the feel of that era, which is a good thing, but overall, looking at it and keeping the politics in mind, this is a movie worth watching. So there is definitely no vulgar language at all; yes, there are some brutal scenes in it. Friend, there is a scene involving a child; it is more dangerous than Marco. Brother, I got goosebumps; it will be better if you keep this movie away from children. The rest of the time, I like the movie.
